// A RESET PROTOCOL CASE STUDY
How a Web3 GTM Leader got his ground back.
Web3 GTM Leader. October 2025.
// 01 THE SITUATION
Seven years in Web3. ConsenSys alumni. DeFi purist turned builder. The kind of operator who thrives on rigorous structure: early mornings, gym, focused work blocks, relentless momentum. He knew exactly who he was when he was operating at his best. He just could not get back there.
It was not a breakdown. It was something subtler and in many ways harder: a high-performing person who could not perform, watching the gap between who he knew he was and how he was showing up grow wider every day.
"Chronically being online on X, making sure you are up with the trends. Telegram notifications out the ass. There is a new AI tool every day and if you are not using it you feel like you are getting left behind. And then you come across all the rage bait that just starts to mess with your mind. It is literally there to make you angry."
"I had always gotten out by myself. It was almost an ego thing. Like, why would I ask for help?"WEB3 GTM LEADER. OCTOBER 2025.
// 02 THE PROTOCOL
Opened with breathwork to interrupt the stress state and create physiological space for honest reflection. From there, a structured surface of limiting beliefs and blind spots. What was he actually carrying? What stories was he running about himself and what recovery would require? A key pattern emerged: the belief that getting out of hard times alone was a mark of character. It had served him. It had also kept him stuck.
A guided meditation to re-centre before the real work began. Then a life-area grading exercise scoring key domains 0 to 10 across career, health, relationships, environment, energy, and purpose. A structured diagnostic not a vague reflection exercise. It reconnected him with something he had built and lost: a daily meditation practice that had been a non-negotiable during his best periods.
"The guided meditations. I had done them rigorously back in 2020, 2021 when I was smashing it, and I had kind of forgotten how useful it is for getting grounded. And then it just clicked."
Not aspirational habits. Anchors. The final session built the specific daily non-negotiables to carry him forward: morning routine, physical training, focused work blocks, and the meditation practice he had just remembered he needed. The structure emerged from the audit. It fit him.
"Taking a step back. Being able to talk through it. Having someone else help formulate the structure I was missing. That was the main thing for me."
// 03 THE RESULTS
Every client starts with a score. Every client ends with a score.
The PSS-10 (Perceived Stress Scale) is a validated 10-question clinical tool used to measure how much stress a person perceives in their life. Scored 0 to 40. A drop of 5 or more points is considered clinically significant. Client result: -5.5 points.
A 5.5-point drop on the PSS-10 crosses the clinical threshold for meaningful stress reduction. This happened during the same period of external chaos. The hack. The pivot. The relocation. The recovery. None of that resolved. What changed was his relationship to it. The gym came back. The company pivoted and saw strong inbound. His day job stabilised. And stress was reframed from enemy to signal.
"There is a light at the end of the tunnel that is very visible now."
"I had always gotten out of difficult situations by myself before. It was kind of an ego thing. But being able to work with someone who is doing this for a living, who is in your industry, who you have a shared network with. Why not just take the plunge? People are there to help you. It is about knowing when to ask."WEB3 GTM LEADER. OCTOBER 2025.
// 04 WHY THIS MATTERS
This is not a cautionary tale. This is a seasoned, deeply technical operator who hit a rare convergence of stressors and found that the missing piece was not more information, more strategy, or more hustle. It was structure. Regulation. The willingness to slow down enough to get grounded. The Web3 environment is uniquely hostile to the nervous system. Markets that never close. Discourse that never stops. The perpetual anxiety of falling behind. He found his way through not by pushing harder but by coming back to what had always worked: breath, clarity, and the basics. Three weeks. Three sessions. The right structure. That is all it took.
